The Prairies Apple Store for Education is open!

The importance of digital technologies in the education of students at École Our Lady of the Prairies School has grown significantly this year and will continue to grow in the 2011-2012 academic year.  To provide our families with as many opportunities as possible to support our students in their work at home, we are pleased to announce a partnership with Apple that provides educational discounts on many of their products and many third-party devices and software through a special Online Apple Store accessible only to students and their immediate families of École Our Lady of the Prairies School.  Your username and password to access the Prairies Apple Store for Education have been sent to each home directly with your child.  Please protect the username and password and do not publicly share the information you need to access the store.  Remember your purchases will be delivered directly to the Canadian home address you provide.  You will need a Canadian credit card and shipping address to make a purchase at the Prairies Apple Store for Education.  Please click here to access the Prairies Apple Store for Education.

    Welcome

Welcome to École Our Lady of the Prairies School. We are a dual track school, offering English Programming K-6 and French Immersion Programming  K-6.  Students in grades 4 to 6, enrolled in our English track, take French as a Second Language as prescribed by Alberta Learning.  We also offer the Little Bethlehem Program for students that are three years old by September 1, 2011 (offered in English only).  Starting in the 2011 - 2012 school year we will be offering the 100 Voices Program for students that are 4 years old on or before March 1, 2012 (offered in English only).

"To learn, to work, to live fully, and to serve God in one another" are keynotes of our school's philosophy. Through our liturgical celebrations, our extra-curricular clubs, our dedicated staff, and the permeation of core values throughout the curriculum, we ensure that your children are gaining the skills and knowledge required to lead successful lives.

École Our Lady of the Prairies School maintains high standards of academics and discipline. We have very high expectations of our students and we provide them with the tools necessary to experience success in spiritual, academic and social levels. Students are encouraged to do their personal best.

We have a strong literacy component, with reading being our focus. We encourage parents to be involved with their children literacy development. Research indicates that parents who are involved in their child's academic life contribute greatly to their child's progress in school. We have expanded our library to reflect our reading program.

Our school environment is welcoming and we encourage parent involvement. Highlighting on our Catholicity enables the spiritual growth in our students.
